The Sweet Success Of Apple Pies

Everyone loves apples! Everyone loves pies! Consequently, everyone loves apple pies!

It is suitable for eating at any time of the day and in any place on earth!

When you get home tonight after a long working day, it is natural to say “Honey, is the apple pie ready?!” or “Where is my Apple Pie?!”

Even when you go to the bar with friends, the barman asks you what kind of apple pie you prefer.

Yields: 8 portions

Ingredients

  • 3 fresh apples
  • 200 grams / 7 oz brown sugar
  • 200 grams / 7 oz all-purpose flour
  • 3 medium-size eggs
  • 50 grams / 1.8 oz butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions – just follow the stars in your kitchen:

  1. Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices.
  2. Cook caramel on the bottom of a medium tray: add 100 gr. sugar, one soup spoon of any kind of jam (optional). Put the tray on a stove for 5 min and stir slowly with a wooden spoon. Add 50 gr. butter, mix with the spoon to become a homogeneous mixture, and remove the tray from the stove.
  3. Add the apple slices – arrange them to cover the whole bottom of the tray before the caramel solidifies.
  4. In a cup – combine the rest of the sugar and the eggs with a mixer – to create while texture.
  5. Add the flour with one teaspoon of baking powder in the cup and mix again – to become homogeneous.
  6. Add the flour mixture to the tray, covering gently the apple slices.
  7. Put in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius. Bake until the pie becomes a beautiful golden crust – about 40-45 min.
  8. Place a serving plate over the pie and invert. Remove the tray and serve.
  9. Optional: to become a juicy pie – pour the syrup of peach compote over it.

Hints and Tips to fully enjoy this irresistible temptation

You may add a pinch of Himalayan salt to the texture. This is effective for all kinds of food recipes.
